Long Beach FC Announces Return To UPSL Premier Division

By JayDe Beaudry

Long Beach FC will return to the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) for the Spring 2026 season. Following a successful campaign in the Spring 2025 season, the club will return to the Premier Division as a member of the SoCal North Conference.

"Missing out on USL League Two this season is a bummer, but our goal is still clear, bringing professional soccer to the city of Long Beach. I believe some great things are going to happen for the club this year and I look forward to it." - Sebastian De Smedt, Co-Founder of Long Beach FC

Long Beach FC is committed to growing the entire organization, including the launch of a youth academy and a women’s side when the time is right.

"It's definitely disappointing to miss out on USL League Two, but we're excited to rejoin the UPSL in the Premier Division and excited to put together a team that's really competitive and that can make a deep playoff run." - Willie L. Alexander III, Co-Founder of Long Beach FC

Throughout the upcoming season, Long Beach FC will continue to strengthen community partnerships and foster the growth of the beautiful game in Long Beach.

"We can't wait to interact and see you out at games again and we appreciate all the support" said Alexander.

The UPSL Spring season will kick off in March.

Information regarding fixtures, tickets, and matchday experiences will be available as soon as possible.

Hello. I hope you are doing well.

My name is Tamaki Oba from Japan, and I am currently playing at the NJCAA Division I at Coastal Bend College.

Last season, our team competed at the NJCAA national level. However, due to injury, I was only able to participate toward the end of the season. Now fully fit, I am eager to challenge myself at a higher level this summer, and I am very interested in the opportunity to compete with your team.

I am a midfielder whose strengths are passing ability and ball striking. I contribute on both sides of the game, covering a wide defensive range while helping control the tempo and build the attack in midfield.

If possible, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to attend a trial or be considered for a roster spot.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Tamaki Oba

I’m looking for soccer team to play with this summer.

I believe my skills, work ethic, and passion for the game would allow me to contribute to your team. I play CB and DMF, and I played CB throughout the 2025 MCC season.
